Retro Game Jam Camp

Platform Games like Super Mario and Donkey Kong have
been some of the most popular games for decades.

In this 5-day online camp, kids will create a retro
platform game to exercise their creativity, improve their
design skills, and celebrate a sub-genre of games.

Learning Outcomes:

  Understand and use the principles of level design to
make a balanced and enjoyable game

  Learn how to strategically place essential game
components such as coins, enemies, and checkpoints

  Design and animate their own game assets including
characters, backgrounds and collectible items
